Dial Back Sound is the recording studio owned by Matt Patton of The Drive By Truckers and The Dexateens. The facility is operated by Engineer and Managing Partner, Bronson Tew. The studio was opened in 2009 by producer, Bruce Watson. Patton became a frequent session bassist early on and later began producing. Tew became the head engineer and manager in 2012.
Some of the many clients and guests include Jimbo Mathus, Jim Mize, Leo Bud Welch, Iggy & The Stooges, John Paul Keith, The Seratones, The Dexateens, The Levee Drivers, Pony Bradshaw, Water Liars, Alvin Youngblood Heart, A.A. Bondy, Holy Ghost Electric Show, Cedell Davis, Jack Oblivian, Bobby Bare Jr., Ironing Board Sam, Simone Felice and Barrett Martin.
Dial Back Sound is located in Water Valley, just a short drive south of Oxford, Mississippi.
