Dial Back Sound is the recording studio owned by Matt Patton of The Drive By Truckers and The Dexateens. The facility is operated by Engineer and Managing Partner, Bronson Tew. The studio was opened in 2009 by producer, Bruce Watson. Patton became a frequent session bassist early on and later began producing. Tew became the head engineer and manager in 2012. The studio has launched a label of the same name.

Bondy, Cedric Burnside, Cedell Davis, Jack Oblivian, Bobby Bare Jr., Ironing Board Sam, Simone Felice, Patterson Hood and Barrett Martin.
Dial Back Sound is located in Water Valley, just a short drive south of Oxford, Mississippi. Memphis, TN is a little over an hour to the north. The Mississippi Delta is a little over an hour to the south. Apartment lodging is available onsite.
